A Tasty Side Dish! May 17, 2009
I love couscous but the regular type is almost too fine for pasta. This large-pearl couscous has a lot of "bite" to it.

One strange thing--the instructions don't tell you when to add the seasoning packet. It should be added after you add the boiling water. If you brown it in the skillet with the couscous and olive oil, it tends to stick and burn easily.

I tried this couscous almost by accident. It was awesome! I couldn't remember where I bought it, so I searched and searched on the web. No store near me said that they carried 'pearl' couscous, so I ordered it from Amazon....12 boxes! It was worth it! I love the large size pearls and the mushroom flavor is great. Use it for your special dinner parties to look like a star!

THE ONLY REASON THIS IS NOT RATED 5 is THE DIRECTIONS STINK NO MENTION IS MADE OF THE SPICE PACK, THE FIRST TIME I USED IT I MISSED THE PACKET. I LET SOMEONE ELSE USE MY KITCHEN AND THEY ALSO MISSED IT. The product is great
