Fresh, Clean and Gentle May 01, 2010 I tried this dishsoap after switching to all green cleaners. It's a winner. I loved how it cleaned. Everything came out perfect. I loved the fact that it had a few simple ingredients and didn't smell of harsh chemicals. I liked the way it looked too, the clear liquid just seemed cleaner. I loved it so much in fact, that I went to the website to read more about it and to see if they had a liquid hand soap (they do); in the frequently asked questions, they mentioned it can also be used as a hand soap. Since it's difficult to find a liquid hand soap without triclosan, it's wonderful that you can have one product to wash dishes and that can be used as a hand soap. I love the clean simplicity of this product. And the fact that it's good for the environment is a bonus too. I can't ever imagine going back to the "heavy" chemical dishsoaps.
Wonderful Soap Dec 27, 2009 I am very happy with this soap. I wash a lot of dishes and have tried several eco friendly dishwashing products. This one gives me bubbles that last through to the last dish. A nice range of scents from which to choose and a very good price.
Pleasantly surprised Nov 07, 2009 I have been using this Dish Detergent for a few months now and I am pretty happy with it. It does the job, smells great and I can use it to wash my hands without them drying out too much. I wouldn't say I use more than with any commercial brand, but I also wash my dishes in the Dishwasher, so I just use it on my knives and sometimes pots and other things that I have to rinse quickly. Yes sometimes you might feel like you need to use a little more, but don't forget most of the commercial brands are super concentrated. All over a great value and does a great job. No complains.

I use it on everything I own; I mean everything! Dec 23, 2008 After trying many "eco-friendly" products, especially dish liquids, I was becoming very disappointed. I was so chemically sensitive, I would often feel bad for the rest of the day if I spent much time in contact. The skin does absorb the chemical ingredients. I eventually figured out that the SLS or SLES(anything with lauryl or laureth or similar terms) were the ingredients that were making me spacy and fatigued. And they are right in there in many of the so-called healthy alternative detergents!
One company, Seventh Generation, uses flowery, eco-obfuscating language; they never tell you that their product actually contains sodium laureth sulfate (similar in structure to sulfuric acid), the cheapest of sudsing agents, which is found in almost all "mainstream" personal care items; dish detergent, body wash, shampoo, etc.
When I went to their website to complain, they replied that they use "a mix of functional descriptions and specific ingredients on...labels", to "allow us to refine formulas without the expense of having to reprint labels with each refinement". And just try to uncover from their website, what the actual ingredients are. I am admittedly not a computer genius (read brain fog), but it took an unreasonable amount of digging to uncover the ingredient list.
The point of my review here for Dishmate Liquid is, after I found it to be so body friendly that I could have prolonged contact without sensitivity symptoms, I decided to try it as a body wash (my skin was irritable no matter what I used to wash it). It was great! I no longer felt "bad" after taking a shower. It was only a matter of time before I tried it as a shampoo and, surprise, it doesn't hurt your eyes (as gentle as a baby shampoo), and my hair is beautiful!
I no longer buy any soaps, body washes or shampoo. I add a few drops of essential oil to diluted Ultra Dishmate as a hand and body wash. I have recommended (and gifted) this liquid to anyone I know with allergy, chemical sensitivity, or skin problems.
The best part of this is, since I have minimized contact with major sources of irritation, the entire chemical sensitivity problem has become much less prominent in my life. This Dishmate Liquid has actually improved my life! Try this. It may be a change for you too!
p.s. It works just great on greasy dishes, pots and pans, too.

Works great - just get used to fewer suds Jun 08, 2008 This product works fine for about every type of dish/pan cleaning. Many complain they have to use more or that it doesn't work well. What the issue really is that people are used to high-sudsing detergents so they use more to try to get more suds or they feel it's not working.
The fact that it doesn't suds a lot is the point - it's what makes it environmentally friendly.
Those of you on septic will really appreciate this cleaner as it better for the system and in combination with other similar products for your washer and dish washer, will reduce the problems detergents cause.
