My favorite candles! Mar 12, 2010 I love candles and have tried almost everything out there, and so it means a lot when I say ... Mrs Meyers candles are my favorites! They burn cleanly, evenly, and best of all without soot. As to the scents, they smell great! My favorite is lemon. My sister and I are both on the subscription plan with Mrs Meyers candles. Such great value! And that's why we love them even more. Similar quality candles cost at least in the $20s.
Geranium Soy Candle Feb 07, 2010 My sister and I are very satisfied with these candles that burned all week. Strong scent that fill the air in our small cottage.

Lavender candles Oct 12, 2009 I agree with the others that the Lavender scent doesn't smell like actual Lavender. However, it's my favorite scent ever! I think it smells wonderful and I've been purchasing the Meyers Lavender scent products for a couple of years now. Fresh and not too sweet. Funny how we all have such different scent preferences. The only thing I don't like is that the wick burns down to the bottom and I have all of this soy wax built up along the sides. What I started doing is heating it up on my gas stove top until it melts. Then I shut it off and allow the wax to cool down. The scent goes on for hours. The candles last forever! I think I've had this one for two years (don't burn it everyday, of course).

Not to our liking. Jun 12, 2009 I'm aware that this is entirely a matter of personal taste, but I gotta say that everyone in our family dislikes the Lemon Verbena version of this candle.
First, we don't like the smell at all. It's cloyingly sweet, and not nearly as citrusy as we'd hoped. I know, "Lemon Verbena" is not "Lemon" ... but still. The smell is very perfumy compared to other candles we buy.
Second, the candles have pretty bad wicks. The wicks are thick and "messy" - that is, they produce prodigious amounts of burnt "fluff" that then settle into the wax of the candle. They just seem to be cheap wicks. And after a while they become reluctant to light.
Now, of course, there's a large upside to candle that comes in its own jar, with a screw-on lid. But there it ends, at least for us.
My suggestion would be to find a local source for these, try one or two, and see what you think before ordering a case of six, as we foolishly did. You may find that you like them; you may not.
We'll use them, but we're looking forward to finishing the last one so we can get some more pleasant-smelling candles with subtler scents and better wicks.

Great scent! Feb 01, 2009 I bought a case of these clean smelling candles. They are great! The lavendar smells awful, though.
