Great breakfast for on the run Aug 15, 2010 Having a cookie for breakfast; it doesn't get any better than this! I ordered it via subscription, so not only do I save money, it will come about the same time I run out. The cookies are not very sweet, which is good, but they do have a bit of chocolate chips in them, which is also good. I find they're pretty filling, especially with a cup of coffee in the morning. If you are following Weight Watchers, they're only three points - not bad for breakfast!
Yummie Coookies Jul 22, 2010 I love these cookies and they taste better when you nuke them for about 12 seconds.
They are always sent right on time and no hassle what so ever, I noticed the stores in this area have slowly stopped carrying them? oh well there cheaper than the stores+no gas wasted.
Thanks
Z
An easy breakfast on the run! May 25, 2010 I'll be honest. Unless I have the day off or someone makes it for me, I usually don't stop for breakfast. I just don't have the time, more often than not. Since I'll get draggy before lunchtime if I don't eat, I've been trying various pre-packaged ready to eat breakfast items such as this one.
Here's my conclusion on these:
Taste: For something that you get in a box, it isn't bad. It won't ever replace home baked cookies, but it is yummy enough that I've bought a few boxes of this. They can be a teensy bit bland on occasion, though.
Texture: Reasonably soft. It isn't soft-bake Tollhouse cookies, but again... for something that comes out of a box it's pretty soft- softer than many regular cookies out there. (Minus the ones made to be more chewy/soft.)
Hunger satisfaction: I was a little leery that this wouldn't satisfy my hunger & that I'd be snacking afterwards, but surprisingly, one cookie goes a long way to filling you up.
My conclusion is that while you may not want to make this a regular breakfast item, if you don't have a lot of time to get something more substantial, this is one of the better options out there. It's more healthy than eating a Pop-Tart, anyway.
Stale taste May 10, 2010 Had kind of a stale taste to them, a bit like Grandma's Cookies, but even more so (makes sense, it's a packaged cookie). I prefer Fiber One Bars as a breakfast item that has an authentic oatmeal taste and texture, though they sometimes suffer from the same staleness problems.
