Awful Feb 13, 2009 I give this two stars because if you absolutely had to you could probably digest this. I, fortunately, had something else and was not forced to endure this slop.
Though it smells sweetly of ginger, the overall flavor is bland, the paneer is mush, and the peas have that "from a tin can" aroma that turns my stomach inside out.
If you don't have a way to freeze and reheat your meals and you just GOTTA have Indian, I guess this is fine, but there are other items by other manufacturers that are so, so much better!
I recommend instead trying Amy's Spinach Paneer, which was what I reached for when three not-so-tasty bites of this told me there was no way I was gonna be able to eat it. The Amy's brand is frozen, but the food is really great and keeps me happy between visits to my favorite Indian restaurants.
Mild Indian food Jan 10, 2009 This is a good, solid lunch - very filling and delicious. The rice tends to come out in one solid hunk but once you break it up it looks and tastes like fresh rice. It's mildly spicy, so this would be a good introduction to Indian food.

The absolute best choice in pre-packaged Indian food! Dec 28, 2008 I've tried a variety of Tasty Bite entreés, and this meal is by far my favorite.
In other microwavable Indian meals that included paneer, I've found that upon microwaving, the paneer loses it's firmness and often explodes in the microwave. However with Tasty Bite, I've never had this problem. The microwave times are identical to other comparable products, yet with Tasty Bite I've always had meals that tasted just as good as they would coming from an authentic Indian restaurant.
If you're thinking about buying pre-packaged, microwavable Indian meals, I wouldn't choose any other brand than Tasty Bite!
I love this entree - it is a godsend Dec 16, 2008 I am so grateful for these meals. The peas paneer tastes good and is mild enough so I can taste the other flavors, not be overwhelmed with heat. In fact, I'd like it milder than it is. The other one that tastes good without too much heat is the sprouts with chick peas entree. I hope they never make them spicier or I couldn't eat them. The other ones cause great indigestion for me and no way can I eat them.
They are gluten free and pretty much the only thing I take when I travel since I can't eat restaurant food since I'm gluten intolerant. They got me through a whole week at a conference. They don't need refrigeration, so you can carry them and store them, but still have a regular hot meal. I eat them at work all the time, too.
I'd say "less spicy" rather than "bland" May 03, 2008 This flavor is one of the least spicy of the bunch, which is kind of a nice break sometimes. It does still have some flavor though. I'll buy a case of these every so often, especially when they're on sale.
